When you visit the Yass Valley Visitor Information Centre you will receive a friendly country welcome from our staff and all the information about Yass Valley you require, including complimentary maps, attraction/accommodation & restaurant guides, brochures and details of local events, businesses and community groups. We also have information about other NSW towns and Victoria's places of interest and accommodation guides Australia wide. Coronation Park has playground equipment for the kids, plenty of shade, tables, chairs and free bbqs. So take a break and enjoy a cup of tea or coffee, snacks, sweets or a cold drink and browse through our gift shop of souvenirs, unique local history/Australian book selection and our large range of local wines for sale in convenient 2 bottle packs.
We have many attractions and retail opportunities in Yass town to keep you busy and some lovely villages full of history and wonder to visit as well. Murrumbateman, our cool climate wine district with sprawling gardens and nature walks.
Binalong, once home to the great Australian poet Banjo Paterson and now a destination that offers galleries, museums and other attractions. Bowning, a hotspot for the artisitic minded with unique and ecclectic galleries and awash with living history and rural adventures.
Bookham, for those with a love of historic churches and other sites. Lake Burrinjuck for a great day outdoors, you can feed the beautiful birds, play tennis, frisbee golf & watersports or do some fishing.
Gundaroo & Sutton, a haven of natural beauty, gift shopping, fine food and history.
Wee Jasper, hosts many happy campers on the banks of the gorgeous Goodradigbee River where fishing, swimming and bush walking are all popular activities as is a visit to Carey's Caves and Cooradigbee Fossil Tours.
Some of our annual events include the Yass Valley Festival , the Yass Cup horse races, Yass Picnic Race Day, Rodeo, Agricultural Show and Murrumbateman Field Days.
