On ExhibitionDevelopment Application No. 231/2007 - 436 Lot Residential Subdivision - 04 Jun 2008 more .. Draft Policies for Public Comment - 15 May 2008 Members of the public are advised that the following draft policies are now available for public comment;
DA-POL-10 Diesel/Petrol Pumps in Urban Areas This draft policy aims to provide policy for the operation of petrol and diesel pumps on land that, under an environmental planning instrument, is within a residential or village zone.
DA-POL-1 Winery and Tourism Signage
The objective of this policy is to ensure that winery and tourism signage (including advertising) is: · compatible with the desired amenity and visual character of the Local Government Area;· provides effective communication in suitable locations; and · of a high quality design and finish. This Policy does not regulate the content of signage and does not require any approval for a change in the content of signage.
DA-POL-10 and DA-POL-1 will be on public exhibition for 40 days. Written submissions relating to these policies will be received by Council until close of business, Wednesday 25 June 2008.
DA-POL-14 Riparian Restrictions
The purpose of this policy is to: · To ensure that no additional riparian rights are created on prescribed streams as the result of subdivision. · To improve the management of riparian zones adjacent to prescribed streams. Written submissions relating to DA-POL-14 will be received by Council until close of business, Friday 13 June 2008. The draft policies can be viewed below. Submissions should be clearly marked “Draft Policy” and returned to PO Box 6,Yass NSW 2582 or 209 Comur Street or via email Council@yass.nsw.gov.au.
