Bowning & Binalong Activity Day

Yass Valley Home Living Support Service has commenced an Activity Day for Seniors that are living in Bowning and Binalong villages.
The aim of the Activity Day is to provide an opportunity for Seniors to meet and enjoy a game of cards, a board game or immerse themselves in a craft activity. There are jigsaw puzzles or simply sit and chat. The group will be supported by professionally trained staff that will ensure that participants undertake a variety of activities that are both stimulating and enjoyable. The location of activity days alternate between Binalong and Bowning.
Once a month the Activity Day is held in Binalong at the Binalong Hotel where the Patrons, Ian and Julie, provide a delicious lunch. The cost of the lunch is subsidised by the Lions Club of Bowning & Districts Inc. Every alternate fortnight the session is held at the Yass Hospital where participants meet people from Yass and join activities that are conducted by support staff from the Yass Hospital. Transport will be provided to participants that live in Bowning, Binalong and areas between the villages. Our driver Ross will look after participants and help them on and off the bus if needed. He’s also pretty good at monopoly! The cost is $11.00 which includes morning tea, lunch and the cost of the bus.
