Lifting of Boil Water Notice

Yass Valley Council recently issued a Boil Water Notice to households in east Yass in response to a positive E,Coli test result within the water supply for that area.
Remedial action including an intensive monitoring program has been undertaken and the results of chlorine and bacteriological testing have shown that the potential hazard no longer exists and as such it is no longer necessary to boil water before consumption.
Council apologises for any inconvenience experienced and thanks you for your cooperation during this period.
