Murrumbateman Library Reopening - 22 November

Last modified: November 18, 2008 - 3:02 PM

The Murrumbateman Library will reopen its doors this weekend after being temporarily closed for urgent repairs. The reopening coincides with the Murrumbateman Fun Day being held in the old school grounds this Saturday (22nd November) from 11am to 4pm.

The Murrumbateman Fun Day will have community information available, wine tasting, live music, the GeckoGang with kids games, jumping castle – to name just a few of the activities.

Of course, the Murrumbateman Library will be open the entire day giving you the opportunity to have a look inside this restored school with its school flag hanging from the rafters, early school photographs and rolls on display and of course books to borrow!

The Murrumbateman Old School Grounds and Library Committee also have a fantastic raffle with tickets just $2. Prizes include 1 dozen bottles of local wine, artwork by Kim Neslon, lunch for 2 at Springers Rest, artwork by Amanda McLean and a basket of goodies from Schonegg.

For your chance to win one of these great prizes tickets can be purchased from the Yass Library or at the fun day.
