Tragedy continues to affect too many families in our region. Tackling this problem is an on-going task for the Yass Valley Council and other road safety organisations.
Accordingly Yass Valley Council has developed a Road Safety Strategic Plan with the aim of reducing the number of road fatalities and incidences of road related trauma.
Yass Valley Council's Road Safety Strategic Plan provides Council with the direction needed to address road safety priority issues over a 5 year period. The Road Safety Strategic Plan is a Council-wide strategy that shows how Council, road safety stakeholders such as the Police, RTA and Health Service as well as the community can work together to make Yass Valley a safer place for all road users.
The plan has many welcome features including the harnessing community partnerships across a wide range of community interest groups for the delivery of road safety programs and functions.
