Applications will be received up until 4.00 pm on Monday 16 November 2009. Council is seeking to appoint an experienced supervisor for its Waste Transfer Station and Landfill operations. The position requires a reliable and self-motivated person who can demonstrate team leadership and exceptional customer service skills, together with a sound operational knowledge of recycling and waste management practices. The position is offered in the range of Grade 7 Entry Level $749.11 to Grade 7 Step 3 $809.04 for a thirty-eight hour week in accordance with Council’s Salary Structure. Other employment conditions are as per the Local Government (State) Award 2007. A 50% loading applies to work performed on Saturdays and a 100% loading applies to work performed on Sundays. An industry disability allowance of $31.80 per week also applies. Council uniforms and full personal protective equipment are supplied free of charge.
