Quality OfficerApplications will be received up until 5.00pm on Friday 11 July 2008. Council is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated person to fill the position of Quality Officer within our Operations Division. The Quality Officer will be responsible for the development and implementation of quality, OH & S and environmental plans and audit programs within the Works Section, and will provide support to work teams to facilitate the improvement of processes and procedures. The successful applicant will have strong interpersonal, problem solving, negotiation and work planning skills, a sound knowledge of Quality Assurance, OH & S and Environmental Management practices and an ability to work effectively as a member of Council’s Operations team. Qualifications or experience in OH & S, quality assurance or environmental management will be highly regarded. The position is offered in the range of Grade 15 Entry Level $960.41 to Grade 15 Step 3 $1,037.24 for a thirty-five hour week. Other employment conditions are as per the Yass Valley Council Notional Agreement Preserving the State Award.
