Director of Corporate and Community ServicesApplications will be received up until 5.00pm on Thursday 31 July 2008. The Yass Valley Local Government Area joins the Australian Capital Territory to the south, Goulburn / Mulwaree to the north east and Gundagai to the west. Council is seeking an experienced professional with a strong understanding of local government and experience in council, government or the private sector, to fill the position of Director of Corporate and Community Services. Responsibilities include the areas of Administration and Governance, Community Development, Records Management, Customer Service, Finance and Information Services. The successful applicant will develop an integrated and strategic approach to the operation and delivery of these services and manage the Corporate and Community Services Division within the budgetary framework and objectives determined by Council’s Management Plan. The position is offered on the basis of a fixed term performance based contract with a salary package of $126,500 per annum (negotiable), inclusive of employer superannuation contributions. A lease back motor vehicle is available in accordance with Council’s vehicle lease policy.
